Alice Eaves

23 December 2002 · New Zealand

Alice Eaves is a reserve (park) at the north end of Orewa. It is an easy 15 minute walk from the hostel I’m staying at. There are a small handful of trails and it doesn’t take more than an hour or two to do the whole thing. I specifically went to see the (now very) scarce Kauri trees. The Kauri is the local equivalent of the Redwoods on the North American west coast.
