Up

Willowbank is an interesting place. It is privately owned and claims to have the most successful kiwi breeding program around. As soon as you go inside there is a backdrop of animal sounds, mostly birds, which transports you to a different world. Many of the animals here are endangered or threatened and Willowbank is trying to bring back the species. Or maybe they are just making money off the ideas. I felt my time and money were well-spent here.
