I went over to the Hyde Street Pier for a concert by the Johnson Girls
out of South Street Sea Port in NYC. They sing a variety of shanties
and sea songs. They were very good, but I've heard better. One (of
five) was missing (she'd just had a baby) and two of them weren't all
that enthusiastic.
On the way over, I tried to take some pictures of Aquatic Park. It
was right around dusk, so most of these are took dark. The best wide
shot of the Balclutha was taken with a 1sec exposure. It's a shame
the funnel of the steam tug pokes up in front of the foremast.

A beautiful sailing ship with a proud history
